Any such media that is destroyed is inventoried (counted, marked, and photographed) on-site, then removed in sealed containers. All of this is shredded in an ISO/R2 facility which is protected by 24/7 security and guarded with full video coverage. A receipt that transfers custody and liability is issued at the time of removal to you, and the photos of both the removal and destruction process are provided.
